Polynesia vol.2

I heard about a movie which is set in Samoa and saw it. It's Disney's animation "Moana".
Yeah, a small village where the heroine Moana, chief's daughter, lived looked like the Samoan. She took over the chief and villagers lived peacefully on the island inside of coral leaf. However the peace was broken by bad harvest. One day, Moana found that ancient ships was hidden in the cave. She knew her ancestors had been explorers who crossed ocean and pioneer a new world.
Moana ventured out on the wild ocean for finding a new land for the villagers to move into with demi-god Maui who stool the heart of Te Fiti, Goddess of creation. Can Moana and Maui return the heart to the goddess who was transformed to a lava monster because of loosing heart, and find a safe heaven?

Watch out! Spoiler's ahead. LoL

At last, they could return the heart to the goddess. The curse of the monster was disenchanted and the goddess herself transformed to a green island. Moana came back to the home island and pointed out the new world to the villagers.
The island which the goddess turned into is Hawaii Island. It's my supposition. Maui Island lay down nearby while Ala Moana is a district name in Oahu Island. The story is a very history of the Samoan people, can be current American Samoa because of Disney, who settled to Hawaii after long voyage on the ocean. They changed the island of lava and fire to the flower and green. It's the story.
When you see the Hawaii from east or west, it's a tropical resort which has deluxe hotels, condominiums and busy beaches. However if you see form south, you must find another Hawaii. It's a Polynesian island with long history before America.

Finally, I felt the reason why Samoan people persist on the land property when I saw the movie. Their ancestor pioneer the new world themselves. It's same to a pioneer on a land locked continent. But what I'm surprised is the ancient Polynesian came and went between the islands in the ocean with their own navigation long time before the age of exploration in the western world. All the story is engraved on the face of Polynesian people.
