What does 'Healthy' mean? vol.1

High blood pressure, high cholesterol, arteriosclerosis, metabolic syndrome ... Getting to know the results of annual medical checkup is tough to me. I got difficulty sleeping last year. The cause was mainly the terrible results, nevertheless I have been kept in mind exercise and meal restrictions. It gave huge shock to me.
"So why don't you skip the medical checkup?" Well if I skipped it, would be also stress to me. In the end I go to a clinic also this year, would be glad and sad on the changeable guidelines which is set by the Ministry of Health, labor and Welfare or some medical conferences.

TV CM says "Watch out! Your vessel will be clotted in your 60s. Before long it will be tore up" "Over 130? You got high blood pressure risk" They make us unease and lead to buy their health supplements for prevention. I call them 'Threatening business'.
I shop at super market. I find all tinned mackerels has gone. I suppose TV ran the issue 'Astonishing health power of the tinned mackerels'. One day after I spent days without a mackerel, a shop woman comes up to me and whispered "Hi, we got the tinned mackerels today" I think all the foods is more or less good for our health. But every time TV issues certain products, one is sold out the other becomes low stock. Before long the price is getting rise up.
There is a 'Specially authorized health foods' in Japan. How much the maker pays to the Ministry of Health for getting the qualification? What's the percentage of the authorized mark in each product? Although no body knows actual effect.
The medical inspection, the TV programs or the authorized foods, all those thing seems giving useful tips for the peoples health at the first look. However I feel some story behind it, someone's profit or business. I hate that. On the other hand, it's no doubt the long average life span of Japanese is based on this people's high awareness to the health.
But for a timid person like me who get ill from a result sheet of medical checkup, getting excessive information is nothing more than stress. 'Being not informed is the happiest thing' is the words for me.

That's all my physical condition these days. So I don't feel like going to freezy Europe in winter. As a result, I head to South. I don't mean wasting my trumps in vain.
I chose Indonesia as a destination last year. My physical condition was quite good during travel. The hot climate must fits to me. But in Japan, as Autumn was coming, I was depressed. This winter, I also had a panic disorder symptom which I had recovered long time ago. The more I try not to think about my body too much, the more I think of it. As I try to sleep, I get awake. As I think I should not put personal information, I write it down here. OH, dear!
So I felt uneasy even on the long flight in this travel. "Should I go to Samoa or not" Suddenly I feels like watching myself who get into a panic disorder in the coconut tree shade with emerald green ocean view. It's a cynical comedy, isn't it?
