Weekend at the amusement park

I find an amusement site in the town park of Bukhara. In spite of weekday, the park is filled with people. It looks popular for .... let's see ... high school and college students. Must be in after school activity or group trip before graduation season, I guess. The amusement park is quite simple. There is a small Ferris wheel, roller coaster, merry go round, maze house ... maybe 20 or some attractions and cafeteria. It has also pond so you can ride a boat.

Uzbekistan's official character has been shifted from Cyril of Russia to Roman Alphabet. But the sign boards of attraction are still in Russian here. It makes me recall Soviet style amusement park in CIS country where I've ever visited.
In Ukraine, a winter amusement park was covered by fallen-leaves. No people play with. In Latvia, an amusement park was modern and settled in the city center location. A gigantic hammer machine was swinging and I heard the passenger's scream in the white night sky.

The amusement park in Bukhara is not so big, although the season is the best for play with. Even though there is no modern attractions, people looks like having a good time with friends in the early summer sunshine.
I liked the peaceful air of the park a lot. So today I stop by the park once again. It's funny because the guests are changed to families and tourist groups today. It's Friday, Islamic holiday. Now I understand why lot of students played here yesterday. Because it's a weekend afternoon.

Any way, a people watching in holyday amusement park is a big fun to me. Then I notice one thing. People's faces are closer to the westerner than the east Asian. They have clear-cut features. But it doesn't look alike the slavish. I heard that Bukhara has many Tajik people. When I check on a map, I see it's close to the Tajikistan and Turkmenistan.
The exotic faces, some between Westerner and Asian, which I met in Kashgar of China come across the 5000m alt. Pamir Highland and now connected with the faces of Bukhara. For a while, I enjoyed huge scale adventure in my mind.
