Perfect day for the parasol

After I entered Uzbekistan, I've seen more people using parasols. Mostly women. But some men hold parasols too. In fact, the share taxi driver I mentioned before used his daughter's red umbrella as a parasol when he touted.

A parasol is necessities here. Season quickly changed from Kazakhstan's chilly early spring to the harsh summer in Uzbekistan, an extremely dry desert climate. In the end I get sore throat ... coff, coff
My physical condition is getting worse day by day. Then I'm knocked down by fever in Bukhara. The guest house owner takes care of me. She secludes me from other guests. I can cough all the night without hesitation. In a heritage city, I'm sick in bed. Gotta photograph the people anyway.

There is strong sun light on the street. I could faint in hell of heat. Maybe, I've better to stayed in the bed.
Uzbekistani girls who wear white blouse neatly with parasol are walking on the pavement of  red brick oasis. It must be a mirage of desert. For me it's strong picture as much as I saw waitresses of Maid Cafe in gothic dress and parasol were walkin' on Akihabara street of Tokyo. Coff....coff...
A fever makes me thirsty. A bottled water is not enough. I buy a plastic bag of tomatoes at a bazaar. And suck it in front of the shop. The vendors are laughing at me. But I don't care about it. What I need now is a water, juice and maybe vitamin C.

My sleep was disturbed by the hard cough last night too. At 9 am, the sunlight is strong enough to hesitate going out. Then I get an idea. I remember having a folding umbrella. It's a little bit short in the shaft. "Haha, you look cool, uh?" The other guests in the accommodation tease me. Me my self is also embarrassed in the beginning. But no local people laugh at me holding tiny umbrella. The air is extremely dried up, so once making shade with a parasol I feel really cool.
This is first time I notice the effectiveness of parasol in my life. However holding parasol with the left hand and camera with the right is quite hard. You know? Coff... coff, coff
